Prof. Thseen Nazir, a faculty member in the Department of Guidance and Psychological Counseling at our university, visited International Balkan University in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia, between May 5–9, 2025, as part of the ERASMUS+ Teaching Mobility Program. In his first lecture, Nazir addressed the topic of phubbing, drawing from his forthcoming book titled Phubbing: A Modern Social Disconnection. The session offered a comprehensive analysis of the growing prevalence of phubbing in modern society and its adverse effects on social relationships and interpersonal communication.
The second lecture, titled Mental Health and Coping Challenges of International Students, was organized in collaboration with the university’s Department of Guidance and Psychological Counseling. Aimed at first-year students enrolled in the English Preparatory Program, the session explored the psychological challenges faced by international students and discussed strategies for coping and adaptation.
Thseen Nazir’s academic mobility under the ERASMUS+ program not only contributed to intercultural academic dialogue but also highlighted the importance of addressing digital-age social behaviors and student mental health within the context of higher education.
